Going from being in nature all day, every day, and migrating with the seasons to forcing myself to stay in one place was met with complete inner and outer turmoil. I missed waking up to the morning joy of the birds, the gentle rocking of the van every time the wind blew, that first sword of light as the sun pierced the horizon… I missed the days of not having a television, being easily entertained by the hummingbirds, and not hearing the constant hum of electricity and traffic. Everything in me was restless and wild as I was frantically trying to nest and make my new home feel safe. Nesting felt like my life depended on it otherwise I knew there’d be nothing to keep me from flying back to the cactus and coyotes. As uncomfortable as the anxiety felt, there was also a deep appreciation for it. My anxiety was a reminder to not forget the desert mornings, the forest walks, and the evenings curled up in the back of the dark van with only a tiny book light and the sound of the rain tapping on the roof. Wear this bracelet to remind you that your anxiety is there for a reason - to listen to it - and instead of drowning it out, asking it what it’s trying to tell you. This bracelet is made to order to fit your wrist or ankle. It is best when it is fitted without room to dangle, but not so tight to stretch the elastic when it’s being worn. Average bracelets are 6.5”. Please email me at Linn@thebraceletslinger.com with your preferred size.
