To Malcolm

Thank you, my puppuh, for showing me my strength is more powerful than my brokenness.  That even the most shattered hearts can be rebuilt. It is because of you that I am ready to leave my past with all its pain behind and take only the tools I’ve collected from it with me moving forward.  I will not invite any more pain in, no matter how dark or lonely it gets.  I am worth more than abuse.  It’s time to heal.
