The Fire is in the Friction

Friction: the resistance to motion of one object moving relative to another.

You make the fire in the friction, when you’re completely lost, between the lines, behind the looking glass, in the house of mirrors, beneath the surface, believing in fairy tales, when they’re telling you no, following the light, through the darkness, through the pain, through what everybody else can’t see, not listening as closely to the words and the way something looks but how it FEELS, trusting yourself, trusting yourself, trusting yourself, and then trusting yourself just when you can’t trust yourself yourself a little bit longer. You’re in there! Just keep listening to it! You’ll make your own light! Follow it out!
The fire is in the friction.
You just got to believe.
Trust yourself.
And that’s when the darkness busts into flame!
