Nature’s Way

Many plants in the desert grow small leaves to be able to photosynthesize without using a whole lot of energy. The ocotillo has adapted to the limited desert resources by growing small leaves right onto their branches. They also have a special relationship with hummingbirds, having developed perfectly shaped flowers to fit their long thin beaks. They give the birds food, and in turn the hummingbirds pollinate them. Nature’s way is all about harmony and working together…and it starts with not taking more than we need.
