Evolutionary Path

Evolution doesn’t automatically put us in the best or right direction…it simply puts us in a direction.  We have the ability as humans to think logically, subjectively, and choose what direction we would like to take.  Right now we are at the crossroads of becoming an inorganic version of ourselves or remaining an organic version of ourselves.  It takes awareness and intentional steps in the direction we want to go as individuals; otherwise, we are wired to follow the herd.  But the herd is not genetically wired to do the best or right thing for you or me as an individual or for the herd as a whole.

Our brains are wired to do the path of least resistance - we are wired to use the lower parts of our brain until the higher parts of our brain is intentionally called into action.  That does not mean that the path of most resistance is automatically correct, nor that it is automatically wrong.  It means we have to intentionally access our prefrontal cortex and ask ourselves, Is this the best choice or is this just what everyone else is doing?  Even doctors’ and scientists’ brains are vulnerable to going with the flow - maybe even more so because they have more to lose.  It is a choice we as homo sapiens are presented with on a constant basis, that our society constantly presents us with, in every aspect of our lives.  Every action we take is a choice that will directly or indirectly affect our next move…and the next one…and the way we want to evolve as a human being.  Every belief, thought, feeling, behavior is worth stopping and asking ourself, Is this my own belief or is it a belief, thought, feeling, or behavior that’s a result from the herd?

If the average human being follows the herd, and an exceptional one knows the behavioral patterns of humans and how to manipulate the herd, then we are at the mercy of the ones who choose to manipulate us and move in the direction that benefits the manipulator.

How does this happen?

1.) They isolate the target people - take the land, all the resources, take our identities, take our  choices, take our power.

2.) Dangle the carrot - promise it’s for the best, bait us, make us believe they have our best interest at heart, distribute so it keeps the targets on the hook.

3.) Break the people down - enslave, oppress, torture, genocide, terrorize one group so the other group becomes more cohesive by sharing a common enemy.

4.) Guilt trip/fear - if you don’t go along with the people in power, you’re going to be shamed by everyone else, you’re a bad person for leaving, you will become the enslaved, oppressed, etc.

5.) Desensitize - media, control the information, normalize this cruel behavior, control the culture, good vibes only, cut you off from your own emotions, create a language that reflects the culture they’ve created so you can’t even think outside of it, gaslighting, psychological warfare, turn you against yourself, make you believe being sensitive is a weakness.

6.) Turn the targets against each other - distractions from seeing our own power and ability to leave while we waste time and energy blaming others in the same position as us, the ones they’ve pitted us against, while never turning against the people who are most responsible - the people with all the power.

7.) Make us dependent on them - we think we will starve, not be loved, or go to jail without the system they’ve built, they distribute our needs in a way that keeps us dependent, never enough to be free of them.

8.) Build us back up how they want - we vote for you, we work for you, we live our lives for you, we carry out your legacy for you, we raise our children to do the same.

9.) Then they control us - we evolve as a species in the direction they put us.

We can evolve toward being a programmable machine, a drone, an object, an emotionless - senseless - good vibes only - objectified shell of a human, or a feeling, sensing, choice making animal that is in congruence with all other life on this earth.  We can join it, or we can destroy it.  It might sound like it, but I’m not condoning either one for you, dear reader.  Perhaps the human species is supposed to evolve into a robot.  It certainly would have its perks - live forever, produce more, have more, be “more”.  But is more better than less?  Is that a conscious belief you’ve chosen for yourself?  Or one your family, school, work, town, community, country, generation, society has decided for you?  But that’s a decision you can consciously decide for yourself, which direction you want to be moving toward.  You have a choice.  That’s the power of being human.  You can choose your own evolutionary path.  Which way do you want to go? Toward the external reward or internal reward?  Maybe a little of both?  You choose.

*This list is one that I’ve put together from personal experience and observations from a micro and macro level.  It is not thoroughly researched to be considered reliable data and should not be spread as such but is more to generate thinking and awareness.
